Each year, thousands of Salvation Army Red Kettles serve
as collection stations around the nation beginning the day after Thanksgiving,
and continuing through Christmas Eve. Donations to the Red Kettles stay
local, supporting programs in the communities in which they were received.
Last year, $93 million was raised through kettles, and helped The Salvation
Army provide assistance for almost 33 million people in need.
The members of the Interact Club of the Indiana County Technology Center
have agreed to do their part to support this worthwhile cause. The members
of the Interact Club understand that the volunteers who man the kettles
are a very crucial part of the kettle drive. The Interact Club members have
agreed to man the kettles on 3 nights in December.
