Skids Program
(Science Kids!)

June 19-23:

A week of fun, games, and creativityin math & science! Skids offers you the best of IUP's former YES Program.

Register for one, two, three, or all four classes in your age group. Third graders can sign up for either age group (consider maturity).
Register early; class sizes are limited!

Location: Classes will be held in the Indiana Art Association studios on the 4th floor of the Indiana Theater Building, 637 Philadelphia Street, Indiana. Use the Carpenter Street alley entrance to avoid congestion on Philadelphia Street. Go up the elevator or stairs to the 4th floor.
Lunch Students staying during the supervised lunch break (free) should bring a bag lunch, including any drink, napkin, and utensils needed.

Clue Me In

Have you ever wanted to solve mystery? Felix Navidad, the millionaire, is missing, and the police need your help! We will use forensic chemistry, fiber testing, handwriting analysis, and other activities while viewing the crime scene and colelcting evidence to try to fit the pieces together and determine what happened. Ms. Mabon is a techer at the Marion Center School District.

Help solve the mystery of the missing teddy bear. Explore and experience paper chromatography, finger paint analysis, smells, crystals, secret notes, and more. Ms. Mabon is a teacher of the Marion Center School District.

Icky, Sticky, Ooey, Gooey

What is icky, sticky, foamy, and slimy all at once? It's chemistry! In this class, everything gets mixed up! Each day, new and different experiments are performed. You will get to make gop, slime, and other nasty stuff. Ms. Broskin is a teacher in the Marion Center School District.
Fee $37 includes supplies

Wonderful Walking Sticks

Who has heard of walking sticks and what do you do with them? Create a lifetime treasure. Choose, design, file and sand your walking stick while learning basic woodworking and hardwook tree identification. The class will take a short hike on the last day to try them out. Mr. Johnson is the counselor at Ben Franklin Elementry School.
